Transfer to the free Passport bus (see above).Long Beach Airport Chauffeured Ground Transportation.Get off at the 'Transit Mall' station in downtown Long Beach.


Transfer to the Blue Line Metro Rail train towards Long Beach (remember to tap your TAP card again on the fare validator before getting onto the blue line train).Stop at the Willowbrook / Rosa Parks Station.Take the Green Line Metro Rail train towards Norwalk.Locate the blue post (known as the 'TAP fare validator') at the station and tap the TAP card on the post you should hear a beep.The machine takes credit cards and bills up to $20. At the station, purchase a $1 TAP card using the automated machine and load $1.75 in fare onto the card.Catch the "G" shuttle to the Metro GREEN line.Upon arrival at LAX, follow the signs for 'Ground Transportation', exit the terminal and stand under the BLUE LAX Shuttle / Airline Connnections sign on the 'traffic island' in the roadway in front of the terminal.To take the Metro Rail, do the following: Taking the Metro Rail from LAX to Long Beach is a slightly faster alternative but costs a few dollars more for the TAP card and required transfer so it is not the "cheapest" option. Allow at least 3+ hours to get from LAX to the cruise terminal. Walk to the Cruise Terminal (white dome shaped building)Īlthough this is the cheapest option, it is NOT recommended for visitors with checked luggage, young children or who arrive into LAX after 1pm.Take the Passport bus to the last stop (Queen Mary / Carnival Cruise Line).Cross the street to the other side of Pine Ave and walk to the Passport bus stop.After exiting the bus, walk west towards Pine Ave.Step 3: Take free Long Beach Passport bus to Queen Mary / Carnival Cruise Station (15 minutes) Take bus to the last stop (Long Beach Transit Mall).Settle back for a long bus trip with many stops along the way.Pay $1.75 in exact change when boarding.Wait at Bay (parking space) #8 for the Metro 232 bus which comes every 20-30 minutes ( see schedule).Step 2: Take Metro 232 bus to Long Beach Transit Center (2 hours)
